AuctuCel was founded to solve a problem every cell culture scientist knows: media that don't work.
Zach Pang experienced this firsthand during his PhD at Imperial College London, where endless trial-and-error with suboptimal culture media cost time and money. That frustration led to a mission — to bring precision and predictability to culture media development using computational tools.
Chee Wai faced the same challenges in the lab at the Cancer Science Institute of Singapore, and later in industry, where poor culture media slowed down scale-up efforts. When Zach came knocking with a bold idea, he knew it was the solution they'd both been missing.
Together, they built AuctuCel to take the guesswork out of culture media — and help researchers everywhere grow with confidence.
